Polish Ministry of Defense is interested in acquiring attack helicopters during implementation of the Kruk Program. The Kruk procurement was launched by Poland’s previous government as part of its military modernization program.

At this point Poland wants to buy 24 attack helicopters and it’s very probable that will choose combat proven AH-64 Apache.

According to the words of Polish Ministry of Defence spokesman Bartłomiej Misiewicz “The drafting of tactical-technical requirements was completed, and, by the end of June, a decision regarding the mode of acquiring combat helicopters will be made.”

Tensions are rising in the airspace due to provocative and very unprofessional actions performed by Russian pilots. On Apr. 29, a Russian Su-27 Flanker “barrel rolled” over the top of a U.S. Air Force RC-135 which was flying a recon mission in international airspace above the Baltic Sea.

Such incidents also took place over Sea of Okhotsk and Black Sea. Aggressive maneuvers are becoming dangerously frequent during the routine close encounters between American spyplanes and Russian fighters in the skies across the world. On Jan. 25, 2016 a U.S. RC-135 ELINT jet was intercepted by a Russian Su-27 Flanker fighter jet over Black Sea: during the interception, the Su-27 made an aggressive turn that disturbed the controllability of the RC-135.

In event of eventual serious air accident those actions will put Russia in very difficult position and can have serious repercussions. Will Russia reconsider her actions? Time will show the answer.

Raytheon Corp. recently won $90m contract for the production of the company's MTS range new variant AN/DAS-4. This is its first multi-spectral targeting system (MTS) with next-generation accuracy for the US Air Force (USAF).

The DAS-4 known features, besides much improved fire control and target location accuracy technology for precise coordinates than older systems are:
- high-definition cameras covering five spectral bands;
- a three-color diode pump laser designator/rangefinder;
- laser spot search and track capability;
- automated sensor and laser bore sight alignment;
- three mode target tracker;
- built in provisions for future growth.

This improvements give US combat aircraft huge advantage over any adversaries due to  more effective assessment of threats and engagement of targets.

The Royal Air Force (RAF) detachment or the Eurofighter Typhoon fighters plus support units will be deployed to Amari air base in Estonia until the end of August this year. The 4 british jets will help to secure NATO’s Airspace over Baltic Countries - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The fighters will respond to any provocation or aggression from Russia or others.

The situation near Baltic Countries airspace is very tense. For example during last deployment in 2015 only the RAF fighters (besides other BAC participants jets) were scrambled 17 times, and intercepted over 40 Russian aircraft.

Pakistan and China are jointly producing the JF-17B dual seat combat fighter aircraft to be inducted by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

The JF-17 Thunder multirole fighter (also known as Chebgdu-FC-1) is an effect of joint cooperation between China (in that case Chengdu Aerospace Corporation) and Pakistan (Pakistan Aeronautical Complex). It was primarily developed  to replace the Pakistani Air Force's fleet of Dassault Mirage III/5 fighters, Nanchang A-5 bombers, and Chengdu F-7 interceptors.

Now the dual seat version will be produced and It will be put into service in both countries. According to Pakistani Air Force Marshal Muhammad Iqbal the dual seat aircraft is of great value for PAF in enhancing not only training value but also the operational capability and the induction of dual seat JF-17B aircraft would also improve its market prospects in future.
